About Us

CAST is a nonprofit education research and development organization that created the Universal Design for Learning framework and UDL Guidelines now used the world over to make learning more inclusive.

The California Coalition for Inclusive Learning (CCIL) is a partnership between CAST, and six county offices of education across the state of California (Fresno, Los Angeles, Placer, San Joaquin, Santa Clara and Sonoma), two Geographic Lead Agencies (Capital Central Foothill Areas and Valley to Coast Collaborative). This work is supported by the California Collaborative for Educational Excellence (CCEE) and the California Department of Education (CDE).

For more information on coaching and support, California educators may contact Shamryn Coyle at scoyle@placercoe.org.
